How to make an invoice with this generator
- Your business. Add your business name and how customers reach you. A logo is optional and stays on your device.
- Customer. Enter who you're billing: a person, a company, or both.
- Items. Add a line for each service or product with a quantity and price. Add tax or a discount per line if you need to.
- Details. Set the invoice number, date and payment terms. The due date fills in from your terms, like Net 30.
- Preview and finish. Check the invoice, then get the final version in the BePaid app. Your first invoice is free.
What your invoice will include

Frequently asked questions
Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes. Creating and previewing invoices here costs nothing and there's no signup. The final, clean PDF is made in the BePaid iPhone app, which is free to download, and your first invoice there is free.
Can I download the invoice as a PDF from this page?
No. The website shows a watermarked preview so you can check everything. The final PDF, without the watermark, is made in the BePaid app. We'd rather tell you that upfront than surprise you at the end.
Where is my invoice saved?
In your browser's local storage on this device. Nothing you type is sent to our servers, and you can come back to your draft later on the same device and browser.
How are tax and discounts calculated?
Per line item. The discount comes off the line amount first, then tax is applied to what's left. Each line is rounded to the cent, and the totals add up exactly.
Which payment terms should I use?
Net 30 is common for business customers; due on receipt or Net 7 is common for homeowners and one-off jobs. Read about payment terms and what Net 30 means.
